-
Appfolio Dashboard & KPI Implementation — Property Management One [Analytics · Architecture]
Owned business analytics and KPI reporting for a portfolio of 140 properties and 2,200 units, including HOA-managed condominiums and rental assets. Defined data architecture, KPI definitions, and reporting cadences; built role-based access controls and real-time performance dashboards used by property owners, HOA boards, and shareholders. Led the enterprise platform selection and full Appfolio implementation that unified portfolio-wide reporting and reduced reporting cycle time. Translated stakeholder requirements (owners, boards, shareholders) into reporting specifications and standardized variance analysis across the portfolio.
-
Platform Migration & Operational ROI Analysis — MindinMotion [Analytics · Architecture]
Drove $500,000 in annual revenue across wholesale and e-commerce channels by analyzing product performance by category, channel, and SKU to inform purchasing, pricing, and assortment decisions. Built the business case for a Shopify-to-QuickBooks platform migration including labor cost analysis and integration risk assessment; led the migration, restructured the company's data architecture, and automated workflows to recover 40 hours per week of operational labor — a measurable operational ROI. Negotiated and selected manufacturing partners using cost-benefit analysis; reduced product cost 28 percent.
-
Conversion & Units-per-Transaction Analysis — Forever 21 [Analytics]
Analyzed traffic, conversion, and Units-per-Transaction patterns across daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles. Used the analysis to drive a 30 percent revenue increase in six months and the regional-best UPT (3.5 versus 2.0 goal) and conversion rate (23 percent versus 17 percent corporate average). Used variance analysis to diagnose root causes and adjust staffing, scheduling, and floor sets.
-
HCI/VIS Systematic Review & Taxonomy Design — Simmons University [Analytics · Metadata]
Co-authoring a peer-reviewed systematic review on mid-air hand gesture interaction in data visualization. Screened 892 papers across 7 academic databases (ACM DL, IEEE Xplore, Scopus, Semantic Scholar, DBLP, SpringerLink, Wiley) using PRISMA methodology. Co-designed a 7-category emergent classification system for visualization interaction contexts with structured per-gesture coding across gesture type, dynamics, scale, handedness, and input mapping. Built classification spreadsheets and HTML heatmaps mapping gesture form to interaction effect. Developed the “sensing proximity gradient” framework adopted as a formal inclusion criterion. Manuscript in preparation.
-
Sneaker Collection Database [Analytics · Architecture]
Relational database project for LIS 458: Database Management at Simmons University. Designed and normalized a 9-table schema (brand, model, category, colorway, color, color-type, junction tables, and a primary
SNEAKERtable) cataloguing a 50-pair personal collection. Demonstrates SQL, data modeling, query design, and reporting against a relational schema. The original deliverable ran on PHP and MySQL; the live version on this site loads the same schema as a SQLite database in your browser via sql.js, so search, insert, and the assignment's saved queries all execute as real SQL with no server. Taxonomy Boot Camp London 2026 — Certificate of Attendance [Metadata · Architecture]
Attended the international taxonomy and knowledge organization conference (April 2026), with direct exposure across both tracks to semantic interoperability, knowledge graphs and ontology design, SKOS / RDF linked-data standards, ISO 25964‑1 thesaurus standards, taxonomy management platforms (Synaptica, PoolParty, Smartlogic), structured content architectures, third-party dataset integration, content migration, LLM-enriched taxonomy workflows, cognitive graphs, neuro-symbolic AI, and the semantic layer for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).

The Montagu Case: Archives, Access, and Silenced Histories [Research]
Multimedia essay analyzing the 1954 Montagu trial as a case study in archival access, institutional silence, and human rights. Draws on declassified Air Ministry and RAF files obtained through FOI requests to reveal the state coordination behind the prosecution. Applies Gilliland's archival multiverse framework and ICA human rights principles to examine how national archives shape historical knowledge. Created for LIS 505: International Perspectives on Managing Archives and Records. View Essay →
-
Omeka Exhibit: Stonewall Landmarking Project [Metadata]
Designed and curated an interactive Omeka exhibit showcasing photographs and documents related to the Stonewall Inn landmark designation. Applied Dublin Core metadata, created accessible alt text, and wrote contextual descriptions to support discovery and engagement. Contributed images to Wikimedia Commons with structured metadata and Creative Commons licensing. View Exhibit →
-
Metadata Schema Creation & RDF Crosswalking — LIS 445 [Metadata]
Created Dublin Core and CDWA-Lite XML records validated in oXygen XML Editor; applied Getty vocabularies (AAT, ULAN, TGN) for authority-controlled description of cultural heritage objects. Built PREMIS preservation metadata records with entity-relationship diagrams; performed RDF crosswalking from Dublin Core to WikiData.
-
Archival Finding Aid — DACS / EAD3 Encoding (LIS 440) [Metadata]
Built multi-level DACS-compliant finding aids with subject analysis using LCNAF and LCSH; proposed RDA headings for unauthorized names; encoded in EAD3 XML using oXygen. Authored a reparative description essay critiquing harmful legacy finding aid language, applying Caswell and Rinn frameworks.
-
Metadata Interoperability Research — Archives Portal Europe (LIS 505) [Metadata · Architecture]
Analyzed trans-European metadata aggregation infrastructure; compared centralized (NARA) and federated (APE) archival models using EAD and OAI-PMH as interoperability standards.
-
Born-Digital Metadata Extraction — LIS 444 Digital Forensics [Metadata]
Used BitCurator, DROID, and FITS for file format identification, metadata extraction (EXIF, embedded descriptive data), checksum verification, and bulk extraction from disk images.
-
Digital Stewardship Analysis [Metadata · Architecture]
Comparative evaluation of DPLA, HathiTrust, and Wikimedia Commons with attention to interoperability, metadata quality, and user experience. Proposed improvements for novice and expert researchers.
-
Metadata Applications Lab [Metadata]
Practice with Dublin Core and MODS; created crosswalk notes, documented description decisions, and reflected on provenance to improve reuse.
