The Montagu Case: Archives, Access, and Silenced Histories Archives | Research | Teaching
Multimedia essay analyzing the 1954 Montagu trial as a case study in archival access, institutional silence, and human rights. Draws on declassified Air Ministry and RAF files obtained through FOI requests and examines the gap between preservation and access.

Research collaboration with the Simmons HCI/VIS Research Group on mid-air hand-gesture interaction in data visualization. Work includes taxonomy development, classification logic, coding standards, structured spreadsheets, evidence synthesis, and manuscript revision as the research corpus expands.

Created Dublin Core and CDWA-Lite XML records validated in oXygen, applied Getty vocabularies, built PREMIS preservation metadata, and practiced RDF crosswalking from Dublin Core to WikiData.

Built multi-level DACS-compliant finding aids with subject analysis using LCNAF and LCSH; proposed RDA headings for unauthorized names; encoded in EAD3 XML using oXygen.

Used BitCurator, DROID, and FITS for file format identification, metadata extraction, checksum verification, and structured review of born-digital materials.
